Arup Fire Engineering Scholarship at University of Canterbury in New Zealand 2020

Applications are welcome for the Arup Fire Engineering Scholarship which is granted to candidates who want to obtain a degree program at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand.

The scholarship awards were created in 2015 by Arup, an international design, planning, engineering, and management consulting company with an extensive record of fire safety engineering as part of its comprehensive multi-disciplinary methodology to design of buildings and infrastructure. Arup maintains a strong commitment to supporting education and research at academic institutions, including the University of Canterbury. The primary aim of the program is to assist master’s candidates in Fire Engineering at the University of Canterbury. The scholarship award is available to both domestic and foreign candidates.

Eligibility for Arup Fire Engineering Scholarship at University of Canterbury

  • Applicants must be International Students
  • Applicants must have completed their Bachelor’s degree program
  • Candidates have to enroll full-time at the school in a program for either a Master of Engineering in Fire Engineering (MEFE) or a Master of Engineering program in Fire Engineering (MEngSt(Fire)) degree.

In addition, for applicants who have completed the academic requirements, but not the non-academic requirements for the BE(Hons) degree, offers of awards are conditional on the completion and crediting of the non-academic requirements by 15 March in the year following the year of application for the scholarship. Candidates may not assume the scholarship award until such non-academic requirements have been satisfied and credited.
