The Global Health Corps in the United States is welcoming applications for the Global Health Corps Fellowship program for Professional Growth as a Leader in 2021.
Global Health Corps is fostering the next generation of assorted health leaders. They provide a range of paid fellowship roles with health establishments in Malawi, Uganda, Rwanda, and Zambia and the chance to grow as a transformative leader in the health equity sector. Everybody has their own role to play in the health equity movement!
A Global Health Corps Fellowship program is an exciting chance to develop skills and gain experience with a high-impact health establishment, but it is also a lot more than that. It’s a year that will catalyse your personal and professional development as a leader, positioning you within an international and diverse network of young, bright, and devoted health equity champions. It is – they hope – the start of the rest of your career working to renovate health systems to deliver for all.
The Global Health Corps Fellowship program begins with one week of inspiring sessions with thought leaders, bonding with your group, and reflections on your position as a next gen international health leader. Trainings, tutoring, and mentorship continue year-round! You will acclimatize and innovate as you learn the requirements of your placement establishment, and work to add value and improve health equity. There will be highs and lows, and new experiences daily.
Transforming health systems is multifaceted, tough, and long-term work and you have to bring your entire self. So developing resilience, self-care, and empathy as a growing leader is a core constituent of their curriculum. GHC fellows and alumni are spread across borders and boundaries of all kinds, but form a close knit network unified in the belief that health is a basic human right.
