The Hospitality Placement Awards is aimed at 100 international hospitality/tourism students from different institutions all over Western Australia who are members of StudyPerth. The objective is to fast-track their job preparedness and enter the hospitality sector immediately to tackle the urgent hospitality workforce deficiency.
This scheme has been created to assist in increasing foreign hospitality students’ employment chances in hospitality in Australia. ACCOR Hotels, Australia Professional Skills Institute, Australia Hotel Association WA, and StudyPerth have collaborated and secured $50,000 to award the chosen candidates.
This Hospitality Placement Awards will comprise three key hospitality sector partners: ACCOR Hotels, Australia Professional Skills Institute, Australia Hotel Association WA, and StudyPerth to offer the applied certifications and training. The 100 international hospitality scholars will be sourced from 10 institutions that provide hospitality and tourism programs including Edith Cowan College, Australian Professional Skills Institute, Kaplan Business School, Edith Cowan University, Kingston International College, Keystone College of Business Technology, SERO Institute, Murdoch University, Stanley College, and West Australian Institute of Further Studies.

Benefits of Hospitality Placement Awards at ECU
The successful 100 candidates will obtain a practical learning experience with industry partner, ACCOR Hotels from September to December 2021. The primary goal is to increase employability preparedness and offer university hospitality foreign students with an applied working experience.
All training costs will be provided by the grant like meals, uniforms, training materials and venue hire. During this time, candidates will work in key hotel departments (Front Office, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage) to acquire an in-depth knowledge about hotel operations.

- Eligible Subjects: Candidates can undertake hospitality or tourism program offered at ECU.
To be qualified to apply, the candidates have to meet all the following/given criteria:
- The candidates should be foreign hospitality/tourism students and members of StudyPerth.
