Candidates chosen to take part in the ICSP obtain scholarship aid which is applied to their tuition. Please note that the scholarship assistance offered by this program is only a partial scholarship of approximately $9,000 per academic year. Recipients will still be responsible for covering the remaining tuition and living expenses with funds from other sources. Scholarship awards from ICSP discount tuition, but cannot be adapted to help with living costs or books. In return for this discount in tuition, ICSP candidates are expected to complete 80 hours each year of cultural service. This service generally takes the form of speaking about your country to local school classes and community groups. A criterion for selection is based on demonstrated financial need and academic history. A diversity of representative countries on the program may also be criteria for selection. Applicants are encouraged to provide as much information as possible about their financial support cultural service plan.
