  • Full managerial and technical responsibility of the project execution, including procurement, staff selection, overseeing and financial supervision of expenses against target activities.

Job Description for Project Manager Multisector OFDA – INTERSOS Nigeria Job Recruitment 2019

  • Will coordinate and oversee the project staff for the implementation of activities and services, ensuring prompt and quality implementation and monitoring in compliance with relevant Standard Operating Procedures, International rules, and regulations as well as INTERSOS Fundamental Charter and Code of Ethics.
  • Assess program quality and advance towards meeting objectives, facilitate collective problem solving with staff and other stakeholders to address challenges.
  • Overseeing financial supervision of expenditures appropriate budget management.
  • Working with the Finance and Logistic department to obtain material necessary for the executing of the activities in a timely manner to ensure adequate supply at the intervention sites.
  • Working hand-in-hand with sector appropriate local government and authorities, non-state actors, UN agencies, NGOs, and donors at the field site level, in coordination with the HoM.
  • Assign tasks and workload among the teams, protecting their understanding of the issues linked to the Project and the Mission through regular working meetings and feedback.
  • Manage the project material resources put at INTERSOS ’s disposition so as to ensure the correct use and its durability.
  • Oversee all orders and Project’s purchases and also the financial indicators, with the support of the capital referents, so as to ensure efficiency, adequate supply at the intervention sites and early detect deviations and its causes.
  • Watch the risks and threats around the project(s), documenting the situation and analyzing the consequences of political decisions or negotiations in the course.
  • Consciously participate in relevant technical coordination meetings and working groups.

  • Supervise the Operations, Administrative, HR and Logistics units in the job state and make sure of good operations, strategic programming, enforcing strategic growth and strong external and internal representation and advocacy.
  • Contribute to the development of the country strategy by providing information from the field.
  • Oversee the logistics, procurement, administration and HR operations in Borno State, aiming at improving the operations systems and processes.

  • Assist field project staff in Borno State in the optimal and efficient execution of the projects.

  • The Project Administrator is responsible for the proper technical performance of all the accounting-financial activities of its projects.
