Job Description 

  • Give technical direction in the creating and executing of all state and LGA level M&E/HSS activities.
  • Develop and implement an M&E/HSS plan for the program in the state.
  • Take lead in the implementation of PMI-S state level Task Order M&E plans and state work plan and reporting on USAID indicators and targets.
  • Establish a system for the flow of information from service-delivery points to the PMI-S central database and ensure timely M&E/HSS technical support to all implementing health facilities
  • Review data entered into the DHIS2 by LGAs, and check for data quality, completeness, and timeliness, and provide feedback to LGAs and HFs monthly
  • Plan and implement follow up actions on data quality issues with LGAs and HFs
  • Liaise with the SMEP to manage quarterly state-level M&E TWG meetings.
  • Manage the roll-out of the project M&E data quality assurance system including planning for and participation in DQA visits and meetings at the state, LGA, and HF levels
  • Coordinate regular data quality assessments, undertaken in a participatory manner, with facility staff and ensure the completeness, consistency, and validity of routine data including reported into the DHIS2
  • Write quarterly reports on the implementation of the program in the state
  • Provide supportive supervision and mentoring to LGA M&E officers and health facility staff to improve data quality
  • Provide technical support in evaluation research to the local research groups as may be required by the USAID
  • Participate in project assessments, evaluations, and design teams
  • Work with the State Coordinator to establish and strengthen a state M&E system that informs policy and practice.
  • Take lead in the implementation of selected health systems interventions.
  • Support state malaria partners to build an evidence base to monitor state malaria program performance towards elimination goals.

Job Requirements 

  • Postgraduate Degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Epidemiology or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience strengthening selected health systems at state or federal level in Nigeria
  • Strong analytical, advocacy and program planning skills required
  • Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on monitoring & evaluation experience, with a good understanding of health system strengthening.
  • Minimum of 4 years of work experience in creating supervising plans and management information systems, 3 years of which were spent working with NGOs in Africa.
  • In-depth understanding of USAID reporting systems particularly for malaria control.
  • Excellent data analysis, presentation and reporting skills
  • Strong computer skills particularly in spreadsheets, database and statistical applications, including DHIS2 for data management
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to foresee problems and initiate appropriate action
  • Efficient in the use of English, both oral and written.
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Credible experience in designing and facilitation of training activities.
  • Excellent organizational, inter-personal, multi-cultural and team building skills.

Job Description 

  • Develop materials for use in advocacy meetings and data collection for the DDU strategic plan development.
  • Develop a DDU guideline/strategy by working with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Develop an action plan for DDU taking into cognizance existing DDU mechanisms/best practices in data use
  • Develop DDU training modules for use with various stakeholders as may be necessary to improve DDU
  • Develop training slides
  • Develop training evaluation tools
  • Conduct a workshop with relevant government agencies.
  • Write and Submit a final report to MSH
  • Provide a Comprehensive report at the end of the period for activities carried out.

Job Requirements 

  • Possession of a post graduate degree in Public Health or related field
  • Must have 8 years work experience in Public health in Nigeria with 4-years in DDU

Job Description 

  • Go over the following: GF RSSH performance indicators; disaggregation and targets; GF RSSH communication strategy; MSH CaTSS interactive billboard and requirements specification for the interactive billboard.
  • Create an initial version of the user-friendly interactive billboard using on the guidance received from MSH.
  • Test the initial version of the interactive billboard to locate and fix any bugs that may be discovered.
  • Present the tested version of the interactive billboard to stakeholders for comments.
  • Gather and use relevant feedback from the stakeholders to complete the billboard.
  • Liaise with MSH to test run the interactive billboard and ‘place’ it in a rightful location.
  • Prepare a user’s guide for the interactive billboard.

Job Requirements 

  • Previous experience in the development of interactive billboards
  • Must display an adept understanding of database designs; data presentation; interoperability protocols.
  • Should have an understanding of health databases.
  • Should have a post graduate degree in computer or information science with a minimum of 4 years of managing interactive systems for reporting.
