Midwestern Oil and Gas JV Scholarships for High School & University Students 2019/2020

Midwestern Oil and Gas JV Scholarships is open to Nigerian students studying in universities in Nigeria. Read through this post to get information on the eligibility conditions and how to apply.

On behalf of itself and its JV partner SunTrust Oil, Midwestern Oil and Gas Company Limited, operator of the Umusadege Field in OML 56, Delta State, is providing several Scholarship Awards to aptly qualified Nigerian students for its 2019/2020 Scholarship program.

The Scholarship Scheme is aimed at promoting academic excellence and improving the skill-base among youths of our host communities and Delta State in general.

  • Secondary School Merit and Community Award – for host communities alone
  • University Merit and Community Award – for host communities alone
  • University Merit Award – for Delta State natives alone

Eligibility Criteria for Midwestern Oil and Gas JV Scholarships

Secondary School Merit and Community Award – for host communities alone

  • Open to JSS I & JSS 2 Students only
  • Admission letter to Secondary School in Nigeria
  • Grade in the most recent 2 years in Primary School.
  • Birth Certificate
  • Identification letter endorsed by Ward Counsellor or CACC (Community Accredited Contact-men Committee)

University Merit and Community Award – for host communities alone

  • The scholarship is available to 100 & 200 level scholars at the period of application
  • JAMB/UTME & University admission letter from an accredited/approved university in Nigeria.
  • At least 5 Credits in SSCE or GCE comprising Maths & English in one attempt
  • Current University ID Card
  • Birth Certificate
  • Identification letter endorsed by Ward Counsellor or CACC (Community Accredited Contact-men Committee)

University Merit Award – for Delta State natives alone

  • The scholarship is available to 200 level scholars who should possess 3.5 and above Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) in his/her first session in the University
  • At least 5 Credits in SSCE or GCE comprising Mathematics & English in one attempt
  • JAMB/UTME & University admission letter from an accredited/approved university in Nigeria
  • Admission letter from an approved/accredited higher institution in Nigeria
  • Current University ID Card
  • Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) in his/her first year in the University (3.5 and above)
  • Letter of identification from LGA
