Job Title: State Technical Officer

Direct reports: M&E specialist

Job Purpose

  • To collaborate with the project manager and team in offering technical support and direct execution of projects for iCCM undertaking with a concentration on the training, identification, logistic system for iCCM commodities and management of health facility and community health workers in the state.

Scope of Work:

  • The State Technical Officer (STO) would back the program undertakings at state stage, in all service delivery levels in all the Local Government Areas (LGAs) of operation to guarantee timely program delivery to attain set targets and goals.

Key Working Relationships:

  • The officer working under the supervision of line-management of the Zonal Programme Manager (ZPM) and in close association with the state, community actors, LGA, stakeholders and associates would provide aspects of the program as per the stated job tasks and required deliverables.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

Related Articles
  • Degree in Medical, Public Health, Health Policy, Epidemiology or another relevant specialty is a minimum requirement
  • Significant experience of working in developing countries
  • Excellent project planning, management and monitoring & evaluation skills
  • Excellent written and spoken English

Work-based skills and competencies:
Essential:

  • Knowledge of medical supplies procurement and supply chain management
  • Technical knowledge and skills in control of malaria, pneumonia and diarrhoea
  • Familiar with public health principles
  • Familiar with monitoring and evaluation of community based health programmes
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills are also needed
