Job Description

University has to be recognized by UNESCO.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Relatable experience in carrying out surveys and multiple-sectorial assessments.
  • Experience in supervising and coaching staff in emergency evaluation.
  • Fluent in the use of English, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of any one of or more of other UN languages.
  • Experience in evaluating with a background interest in the analysis of socio-economic issues.
  • Familiar with designing and implementing food assistance programmes.

Job Position – Business Transformation Officer – P3

Job Description

  • Will be concentrated on advancing the value of technology in the Country Office.
  • Build and sustain technical expertise and knowledge of external industry developments to give direction in precise technical areas of competence.
  • Build and maintain relationships with the business counterparts to manoeuvre the direction of the business and make sure of the alignment of provider’s solutions with varying business requirements and priorities.
  • Aid the advancement of functional work plans, ensuring adherence to wider WFP policies, standards and strategies.
  • Represent WFP at international meetings and conferences, to obtain and communicate best practice, and suggest new approaches to bolster IT/TC service delivery.
  • Oversee and motivate staffs, monitor their performance and give training and guidance to make sure of appropriate development and enable high performance.
  • Engage in emergency readiness and back-up planning, giving technical recommendations and supervising the management of risks.
  • Execution and regular upgrades of Cybersecurity systems.
  • Execute any other duties as required.
  • Support the budgeting and deployment of IT and Telecommunications systems to aid digital assistance, particularly cash-based transfers.
  • Provide data and documentation to support the procurement of ICT/SCOPE equipment and services in line with WFP rules and regulations.

Job Requirements

  • A university degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other relevant fields of study or a First University degree with additional years of related work experience or training.
  • 5 years or more (of which three international) of post-graduate professional experience in humanitarian aid operations and/or business systems analysis.
  • Has merged IT strategies with business strategies and requirements.
  • Has managed and actively carried out emergency response operations.
  • Ability to manage large projects demanding creative recommendations and approaches at Headquarters and field.
  • Has erected durable relationships with internal and external partners to locate key business issues and recognize improved IT solutions and services.
  • In-depth Understanding of poverty dynamics, social protection principles and their application to on-going national economic and development issues.
  • Possession of both broad business skills and IT experience.
