The Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarship awards and Leadership Program develops the leaders of tomorrow by offering exceptional university graduates and professionals from developing countries and emerging economies with the chance to seek fully-funded graduate studies at the University of Oxford, combined with an all-inclusive program of leadership development, long-term mentoring and networking.

The Leadership Program is a unique component of these scholarship awards, and more details on this can be found on the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust website.

The scholarship award will cover 100% of course fees and a fund for living costs (of at least £15,009). Awards are bestowed for the full length of your fee liability for the agreed program.

Eligibility for Weidenfeld and Hoffmann Scholarships at University of Oxford

You must be planning to go back to your nation of ordinary residence the moment your course is completed. Students presently at Oxford are not qualified to apply unless they are already Weidenfeld-Hoffmann scholars.

You must be able to prove a connection between your area of study and your longer-term career goals, describing how you see your professional work adding to the improvement of public life in your nation of origin or at a broader regional or international stage.

The above qualities will be evaluated at the time of the selection process, and using your graduate application form, your Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarship awards Questionnaire and (if applicable) your interview.

This scholarship award is not open to applications from applicants who hold deferred offers to commence in 2020-21.

How to Apply for Weidenfeld and Hoffmann Scholarships at University of Oxford

In order to be eligible for this scholarship award, you should select the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme in the University of Oxford Scholarship awards section of the University’s graduate application form and tender your application for graduate study by the applicable January closing date for your program. See the applicable course page for the closing date applicable to your program.

You should also fill out a Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships Statement and upload it, with your graduate application form, by the closing date.

We will make use of the information you provide in the ‘Nationality and ordinary residence’ section of the graduate application form to evaluate your nation of ordinary residence.

If you are seeded for the scholarship award, you will be needed to take part in an interview, which is likely to be held through Skype in April/May 2020.
